OUR CREW

Rod Burnette

Rob Kohn

Hi, I'm Rob...I'm your typical down to earth kind of guy. I love sports, food, poker, family, friends, dogs, turtles, laughter & love (not in that specific order). Growing up, I was the youngest of 3 children.  My sister was the oldest (Masters in Education), my bother was in the middle (Mortgage Broker) and I was the troublemaker.  As a kid, I idolized my dad.  He is an accomplished musician who spent some time in a wedding band.   I use to watch his band practice all the time.  After seeing how much fun they were having, I wanted to be just like them.  So, through the years I've taken voice lessons, sang in karaoke contests, joined the school choir (7 years), taught myself to play the
guitar and finally landed the lead singing position in Centrifuge.  After I
left the band, I was searching for something to put my heart into. Which led me to the world of broadcasting.

I went to the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting Arts with full intention to become a radio DJ.  It turned out that wasn’t the right career for me, so I explored the wonderful world of television. Since graduating from Specs at the top of my class, I’ve enjoyed 6 years working as a videographer/editor at a television station in the Detroit area. This experience allows me to be capable of performing any job in the industry.  Whenever I shoot or edit anything, I put my heart behind it and creativity into it. Knowing
that my experience is behind the camera, Music Box seemed to be a perfect
place to hang my hat. I’ve been a part of the Music Box team since 2003, and have enjoyed many unique shoots with fantastic people. Now, after working here for a while, I truly feel like I'm part of the team.

Rob Splane

Hello, my name is Rob Splane, and I have known my way around a camera since 1995, but I began as a videographer for Music Box Productions in 2002. During the week, my day job entails r unning the service department of a multi-million dollar corporation. On the weekends, however, my job at Music Box is perfect!  It affords me the opportunity to meet new people, visit new places, and see amazing things that I certainly wouldn’t otherwise get to see. Since entering the field of event videography, I have seen more than my share of live action.  Over the last twelve years, I have documented not only weddings but many different events, including concerts, talk shows, and sporting events; I have worked with both Comcast and Media One, taking part in multi-camera shoots, working as a team to create the proper setting just as I do today. Based on my diverse background, I have developed many skills and shooting styles that allow me to be adaptable to any situation.  The most important skill that I have accrued along the way is to be ready for absolutely anything at an event. Living in the moment allows me to accurately convey the memories of your day just as they happened. I also possess a genuine passion for capturing not just a basic image, but also the energy and emotion surrounding your day.   Nothing compares to the magic of such a unique and significant event. Each shoot excites me and renews my passion for shooting video, every time!
