VIDEO DIVISION HISTORY

Hello, I'm Rod Burnette, co-owner and chief editor of Music Box Productions'
video division. Back in 1994, when my wife Kimberly and I founded Music Box,
we achieved two goals: materializing the dream of owning our own business,
and becoming the leaders in the wedding arena by providing exceptional entertainment and the best personal service possible.

When Music Box opened its doors, I was fortunate enough to have been entertaining people for ten years. My career realistically started before I
graduated high school, when I turned my passion for music into a way to
support myself. After graduation, I spent five years in the U.S. Navy as a
Broadcast Journalist for Armed Forces Radio & Television. Upon discharge,
I continued to pursue my passion for the entertainment industry by attending
The United Broadcast School in Phoenix, Arizona. Presently I am a member
of the American Disc Jockey Association and also the Wedding and Event Videography Association (WEVA) as a means to continue my ongoing education
within my craft, and to make available any and all avenues of research and improvement in the wedding arena. My love for this industry has taken me all
over the world, and ulitimately brought me here to Metro Detroit, where I remain
to this day.

In November of 1998, I decided to explore the video half of my formal education and create a marriage of industries that made perfect sense. Since I had
been helping our clients create memories for over fourteen years, I felt that recording those memories so they could relive them was a logical progression. MB Video was born as the sister division to Music Box Mobile DJ Service. Early
in 2000, we needed to let Metro Detroit know that these two services had become incorporated, and re-emerged as Music Box Productions, Inc.

I can't lie to you, starting a fledgling digital videography company was not an
easy task...digital videography at that time was quite new, and only being
explored by a select few. Desire to create a beautiful, high-quality product,
and in essence, my mark on this world was much stronger than the fear of
the unknown and the volumes of learning that was ahead of me. I feel that my
years of experience as a wedding professional helped to guide me in the
right direction. Over and above the hurdle of learning a new profession, my personal goal was to try to create something different than everyone else.
I wanted my video to stand out from the crowd, in order to provide an heirloom
that our couples could cherish forever, and pass down to their children and grandchildren. I also wanted our wedding video to have more of a cinematic approach, to be a watchable recollection of the day, if you will. I love the idea
that the videos I've created will become a personal family time capsule for generations to come.

Ever since 1998, it's been my policy to change with the industry...technology advances so rapidly in the wedding and event arena, and my commitment
to the quality of product we deliver dictates that Music Box advances just as
rapidly. Just as importantly, we have a phenomenal, hand-picked staff of videographers and editors that live outside the box. Combined with the
desire to be the best we possibly can is our dedication to continued education. From the annual WEVA seminars to our individual hunger to become better shooters and editors, we never stop learning. That, and our attention to detail make it possible for each video we produce to be different, and reflect a
couple's personality. We work with you before and after your wedding day to ensure that your video is a true testament to who you are.

Personally, I believe my experience as a wedding entertainer makes it
possible to see and edit video differently. The best example of this is in the montages that are interlaced with the ceremony and reception portions of
the video, where most of the clips coorespond to the beat of the music,
often quite subtly. I feel this is a personal advantage I posess which allows
me to create video that not only emits emotion, but is also very easy to watch.

Thanks to all of you who are considering hiring Music Box Productions to
capture what will be one of the most important days of your life, and a
heartfelt thanks to all of the couples who have allowed us to deliver their memories to them in an indelible heirloom.
